North Haven's CDC has been serving families in north Raleigh for decades. We are not a franchise or a "chain" daycare. Our staff is from the Raleigh area and we care about our community and its families. Some of us has have worked with multiple children in the same families over the years. Brothers and sisters have spent time together in our playground, they've napped in our quiet spaces, and they've proudly shown their crafts to generations of moms and dads.
North Haven CDC isn't just a daycare center. We are a second home for kids six-weeks to five-years old and trusted partners for parents. We would love for you and your child to be a part of the CDC family as we work together to make your child be all God intends for them to be.
No two children are alike, and even children of the same age can vary in intellectual and emotional abilities. Because we focus on each individual child, we plan your child's learning experience on many factors, and not just on their chronological age. This type of individualized care helps meet your child's individual needs and builds on their unique abilities.
We provide safe, colorful, and imaginative play areas for your child. This is because they are important for children, giving them a space for pretending, expressing and imagining themselves. Play areas promote thinking, problem solving, and turn taking, and help children learn and develop skills as well as being important for developing physical dexterity.
We use Weekday Early Education, better known as "WEE Learn Curriculum." This curriculum is developmentally appropriate for Christian Education settings designed for young children ages birth through Pre-K.
Just like in Wake County Public Schools, the WEE Curriculum is designed for a nine-month year.
We augment the WEE Curriculum with a "Summer Fun" curriculum, including areas like safety rules,
positive self-image, animals, seasons, plants and community helpers.
